Fisher Tips
A fishing tackle bag is used by most people who love to fish. All the equipments that you need during fishing can be carried in these bags. With their help, you can carry all the items in a very organized way. As a result, if you need anything quickly you don't have to waste precious minutes looking for it while a fish escapes your bait!
If you search in the market you will get various kinds of tackle bags for fishing. However, only a few of them will fulfill your needs. So, let's talk about some of the important features that you need to check while buying these kinds of bags. A good quality bag should be able to resist severe sunlight, water, mould and rust. So, it will be better if you buy tackle bags made of nylon.
Secondly, these types of bags must have plenty of pockets where you can keep your mobile phone, map, GPS devices etc. The pockets must be there inside as well as outside the bag. A better idea would be to opt for bags that have additional net pockets.
Select only those bags that fit your requirement. In the market you will get small as well as large bags, but the best will be those that have detectable wall dividers and pockets. If you want to store big items in your bag all you have to do is remove the divider from the bag. You can detach the pockets too.
Another important feature of these bags is their sorting boxes. In these boxes you can keep the hooks, and still & live baits. You can take out these boxes from the bag as they are detachable and wash them too. So, you can keep the important items in these boxes.
Other than all of these important features, your fishing tackle bag must have strong zippers which can be easily operated at emergency times.
Let us get the skinny on bass fishing lures, and settle the matter of best and favorites once and for all. The only way I would hang a label like best or favorite on a lure, is if the thing actually brought me a large degree of success. If a lure consistently brings you fish, then you have a winner. Some work better in specific circumstances than some others do, but you have to weed the ones out that bring you the best results.
I found that my favorite lures had nothing to do with how pretty I thought they were, but with how many fish I caught with them. And the way you have to fish them brings in the element of personal preference. I like a slow top water lure, like the jitterbug, late in the evening around dusk. I found this to be a winner and have enjoyed many successful outings using this lure.
Behind the jitterbug, for me, are pork rinds. I like the action, and I like the results I have had. I am not a big fan of the green ones that have the whit spots. I am partial to the black ones that have a purplish neon looking stripe on the outside of each tail. You can play around with how you work these and really get the bass striking. They work well in the smaller ponds and creeks. They also do well when attached to a spinner bait.
I can not remember ever seeing a fisherman with a tackle box without a Hula Popper in it. Mine was the same way for a long time. But it just kept getting used and put back, without any consistent results. It could be the way I worked it, as some would say, but since this is about personal favorites, it did not make the list. And it no longer takes up space in my tackle box.
I believe that every bass fisher in the world knows about the Rapala Shiner. It is a classic, and an excellent lure for slaying the bass. The action is really good, and I am very fond of the way it will float to the top when you slow down your reeling action. It gives you a lot of control for getting around brush and over logs. It is very easy to make this lure seem like it is injured, and the bass really go for that.
I have another favorite in the rubber crawfish lure. After playing around with this lure for a few days, I managed to get the kind of action I was looking for. And before long, this lure became one for the favorite pile. Many times I have pulled it out on a slow day, and picked things up and saved the day with some nice bass to show for my trouble.
Bass fishing lures put simply, as far as what works and what does not, are just whatever you find brings in the bass from the area that you fish in. There are so many lures on the market, you can fish for years and not try them all. But when you find one that works consistently, then you have found the secret to bass fishing with lures. Just continue using the ones that work.
